Is the Bugaboo Kangaroo sibling seat the same as the main seat?

No, it’s a slightly smaller seat meant for a second child. It can carry up to 40 lbs (18 kg) when in the lower position, while the main seat is bigger and carries up to 50 lbs (22 kg). The sibling seat can be placed in the upper or lower position; this depends on whether you use it with the bassinet or the seat. The main seat, on the other hand, should only be used in the upper position.

Can I use accessories from other brands with my Bugaboo product?

Our Bugaboo accessories are designed to work in perfect harmony with your Bugaboo product. Therefore, we do not recommend using accessories designed by other brands with your Bugaboo product, as they haven't been tested against our safety standards.

Are Bugaboo products chemical-free?

All our products follow REACH guidelines for chemical substances, and of course, all applicable local regulations on chemical substances (e.g., EN 71-3 for Europe). This means our products are tested and proven safe and do not contain any hazardous chemicals.

Sibling sun canopy

Lower sibling adapters

Easily customize your stroller configuration with adapters that allow you to install a sibling seat, bassinet, or car seat in the lower position of the stroller.

The sibling seat can be placed either in the upper or lower position, depending on whether you use it together with a bassinet or a seat.

With a bassinet, the sibling seat should be placed above, facing the parent. The bassinet should then be placed below, using the lower sibling adapters. With a seat, the sibling seat should be placed below, while the main seat sits in the upper position.

If you want to have the bassinet in the upper position, use the upper newborn adapter (available separately) and keep your baby closer to you.

Check the product's user guide for a complete list of recommended set-ups.

Before installing the sibling seat onto your stroller, you need to switch the Bugaboo Kangaroo to double mode. Do it like so:

1. Check that the stroller is in single mode (one child indicator on the chassis is green).
2. Lift the clips to loosen the seat lugs.
3. Lift and reverse the seat lug bar.
4. Place the seat lug bar back into place.
5. Close the clips. The chassis is now in double mode (one child indicator is red, two children indicator is green).
The sibling seat can then be installed in the upper position like you would a normal seat. If you want to have the sibling seat or bassinet in the lower position, follow these extra steps:

1. Remove the sibling socket covers from the front legs. Tuck them away in the underseat basket's front pockets.
2. Insert the lower sibling adapters (included with the stroller) in the sibling sockets.
3. Install the sibling seat or bassinet as usual.
