Important Safety Announcement
Non-swivelling wheels: in September 2011 we issued a safety warning to Bugaboo Bee owners regarding non-swivelling front wheels (production date January 2011 up to and including September 2011). The warning concerned a small chance that the pushchair’s front wheels could jam, which could potentially make the pushchair tip over, due to the use of plastic instead of metal-bearing wheels. In the meantime, we have been upgrading the performance of the affected Bugaboo Bee pushchairs by replacing the plastic-bearing swivel wheels with tried and tested metal-bearing swivel wheels, thereby fully restoring the safety profile of the affected Bugaboo Bee pushchairs. Should you experience your Bugaboo Bee front wheels not swivelling, please get in contact with our Customer Service Department and provide us with the TAG or serial number of the affected pushchair. Customer Service will register your complaint and inform you on the expected delivery of the replacement wheels. Shimmying wheels: we have learnt that some Bugaboo Bee customers are experiencing difficulties with the manoeuvrability of their pushchair’s front wheel, caused by the effect of ‘shimmying’ wheels.

Prevention of shimmying Bugaboo Bee front wheels with new wave washers
We have been very aware that some Bugaboo Bee customers are experiencing difficulties with the manoeuvrability of their pushchair’s front wheels, caused by the effect of ‘shimmying’ wheels. It is our prime focus to ensure that you can use your Bugaboo Bee to your complete satisfaction so our engineers have been working with great dedication to come up with a permanent solution to prevent the shimmying of the Bugaboo Bee front wheels.
We have now found the following solution: by placing durable metal wave washers on to your Bugaboo Bee chassis, this will prevent the effect of shimmying. Extensive internal and external testing and validation have demonstrated the lasting durability of the metal wave washers. The use of these new washers will lastingly restore the manoeuvrability and smooth ride of your pushchair.
The durable metal wave washers will be available in a free-of-charge service set. Should you experience shimmying front wheels, please fill out this online contact form and we will strive to send a set of durable metal wave washers to your home address within 2 to 3 weeks from the date of registration. The set will contain a carton envelope with two easy-to-assemble wave washers and a user instruction guide. You can also check the user instructions here.
