We’re making a big little impact, pushing down to zero CO2 emissions by 2035.
Pushing down our footprint and enabling every parent and child to push down theirs too.
Our sustainability goals
Net zero by 2035
We’re reducing our CO2 footprint. Creating big changes, one small step at a time.
Design to reduce
Pushing down our greenhouse gas emissions. Our goal: 40% reduction per stroller by 2026 aligned with Science Based Targets.
Pushing up our use of renewable electricity. Our offices and factories will reach 100% by 2026.
Pushing for all packaging, materials and shipping lines to be from sustainable and renewable sources by 2026.
Built to last
Everything we create is easy to reuse, renew and pass along.
Design to reuse
We’ve always designed our products to last at least 3 generations, from the day we were born. High-quality replaceable parts, testing beyond industry standards and continuous innovation is in our DNA.
We’re joining the circular economy by repairing products, offering leases and using 100% recyclable or reusable materials by 2035.
Adventures for all
All parents and caretakers should feel confident and supported in their journey through parenthood. We donate to organizations that aid families and children who face greater challenges.
Let’s push together
Empowering modern climate champions to reach zero together.
Design to rebalance
We’re partnering with C40 Cities and their Urban Nature Declaration, which is committed to reducing climate change while supporting greener and more resilient cities.
Partnering with Designathon Works since 2017 - which is working towards empowering 1 million children from any nation and walk of life - to design a better world.
That’s how many hours we’ll collectively volunteer to local initiatives to inspire the next generation of climate custodians.
Plans for 2022
Take a bio-based stroll
Swapping out the majority of our plastics for bio-based materials reduces our CO2 footprint by up to 20%. We’re also using recycled fabrics in current and exciting new products.
The future is bio
From 2022 onwards, we’re working to replace all PA6 plastics with bio-based – across our entire portfolio of strollers. Reducing the CO2 we emit by up to 20% per stroller.
2022 sees the launch of exciting new products with fabrics made from recycled PET plastic bottles and bio-based plastics. And we’re psyched about the update of a key accessory to be made from recycled fishing nets. Keep your eyes peeled.
Making and moving
We’re shifting all of our Xiamen factory outbound shipping lines to biofuels in partnership with Goodshipping. As well as the implementation of solar panels in our Xiamen factory, which will generate 60% of our local energy usage.
Plans for 2022
We designed it first and made it last.
Conscious choices have always been in our DNA. Products with replaceable parts, service centers that rebuild, and new business models that move us all towards a circular economy.
Our strollers are tested beyond industry standards. This ensures that your baby is safe, and that your Bugaboo can last for 3 generations.
Service, service, service
2022 marks the year we revamp and expand our service centers. We’re taking baby steps to get more locations around the globe. Keep your eyes peeled for a location near you in the future.
Strolling in circles
2022 sees the expansion of new business models started in 2021. Pretty Perfect ensures that all products hit the sidewalks, Flex gives parents the option to lease, and Certified Refurbished allows all strollers to have a longer life.

Plans for 2022
It takes a village and a world
We are committed to working together with others. Our goals are to inspire the next generation, while also collaborating with global partners to create a future where everyone can thrive.
We began our partnership with Designathon Works in 2017, to support their mission of educating and empowering children everywhere – across the globe – to design a better world.
Urban Nature Declaration
This year kicks off our partnership with C40 Cities and their Urban Nature Declaration. We're supporting cities that pledge to increase and enhance nature in our urban environments to reduce climate risk and vulnerability.
Count us in
Company-wide programs encourage Bugaboo individuals and teams around the world to get involved in local volunteer initiatives.
By 2023, all polyester fabrics will come from recycled PET bottles. All of our single-use plastic packaging will be eliminated by 2025.
We will continue to roll out our business models until they are global. And our worldwide donations will continue to expand.
As we grow, so will our support of change, changemakers and innovation projects. Both via NGOs and our own volunteer programs.
Our journey to zero
Designed to last
Our designs and innovations were always centered around modularity with replaceable parts, while making sure they are high-quality and long-lasting.
Owning our factory
Thanks to our owned factory, we can control all aspects of production - ensuring safe, fair and humane working conditions.
Introduction of our extended warranty, which now lasts up to 4 years, proves our confidence in the quality of our products.
Certified and committed
In 2010 we certified our factories with ISO standards, then we took it further. Using the Higg Index, we verified the impact of both our factory and our supply chain.
Force for good
As of 2021, we became a member of the UN Global Compact supporting initiatives like the Sustainable Development Goals. Also becoming silver medal certified by EcoVadis sustainability platform.
Big progress is made one small step at a time. We know that we will get there –both as a business and as a global community. Our first major leap is reducing the emissions from our stroller production by 40% – which we can achieve by 2026, by switching to lower-carbon options across materials such as plastics, fabrics and aluminum.
We are lowering our carbon footprint by reducing our CO2 emissions – this is not about offsetting. We are publicly accountable via science-based targets (SBTi).
Absolutely. We want all parents and caretakers to feel confident and free in their journey through parenthood. We do this through organizations that are dedicated to humanitarian need. Our support includes the well-being of children and families. It ranges from hospitals to womens’ shelters, SOS childrens’ villages to refugee camps and orphanages.
Zero is our hero
