How to clean your stroller
We've gathered some top tips & tricks to help you learn everything you need to know about the features that make your stroller unique, including handy tips for cleaning and maintaining it so it can last for generations.

Cleaning the stroller chassis
Spotless and smooth chassis
You can use a soft towel and lukewarm water to clean the larger surfaces on the frame. Always remember to remove any remaining water with a dry cloth. The smaller parts, mechanisms, and any hidden joints, nuts and bolts can be cleaned with a small brush. Give it a good scrub to remove sand and dirt from it.
Wheels that flow
We recommend to periodically remove the wheels from the chassis and brush off any dirt or sand in their inside part. Do not submerge the wheel bearings in water. Use a brush and water to clean dirt from the wheels.
Soft and comfy grips
Both foam grips and leather-look grips can be wiped-clean with a damp cloth. Special tip for foam grips: you can use a sponge, warm water and liquid soap to gently rub any dirt off the grips. Make sure to remove any soap residue from the handlebar.
Underseat basket and rain cover
The underseat basket and rain covers are usually not machine washable. A few swipes with a damp cloth is all you need to make them look fresh and as good as new.

Washing the fabrics
Most of our fabrics are machine washable
All Bugaboo fabrics can be easily detached from your stroller, and most of them are machine washable. There are some exceptions, like the breezy sun canopy and some of our limited edition products. Always make sure to check the product label for detailed washing instructions.
Washing the bassinet fabrics
The Bugaboo bassinet fabrics are all detachable and machine washable. Always remove the stiffeners from the bassinet fabric before washing. Always wash them separately, on a delicate cycle at maximum 30°C/86°F. Always use delicate washing detergents and not bleach, tumble dry, iron or dry clean.
Washing the seat fabric
The seat fabric itself can be easily removed from your stroller and is machine washable. However, always make sure to remove any foam insert from the seat unit when washing it. The foam can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Always use the stroller with the complete seat (including the foam).
Cleaning the mattress
Both the mattress cover and the aerated inlay of the mattress are fully detachable and machine washable. For the mattress foam, all you will need is a damp cloth to gently wipe it clean. It’s also important to always make sure all parts and fabrics are properly dry and placed into their original position before using your stroller.
Cleaning the sun canopy
Most Bugaboo sun canopy fabrics are machine washable at 30°C/86°F. However, there are a few exceptions, such as the new breezy sun canopy. Always check the washing label on the product for more detailed washing instructions. Also, make sure to close any Velcro® straps before washing the fabric.
