FAQ Bugaboo Boxer
People know us for our strollers, but Bugaboo has always been a mobility brand at heart. We're all about creating iconic products that combine design and engineering, along with quality and style to help people move freely through the world.
It's about personal mobility: Bugaboo products help you move freely through the world no matter what you're transporting: your kids or your belongings. It’s also about systems: We’re very good at making systems, and everything we know about designing stroller systems has also been incorporated into the design of the Bugaboo Boxer.
Every individual component of the Bugaboo Boxer luggage system is built to last from high-quality material:
· The Bugaboo Boxer Chassis is made of aluminum, while the wheels are made from high-quality plastics.
· The Bugaboo Boxer Travel Case and Cabin Case are made of durable, impact-resistant polycarbonate.
· The linings inside the Bugaboo Boxer Travel Case and Cabin Case are made of a Teflon-coated twill weave that is both dirt- and water- resistant.
· The exterior of the Bugaboo Boxer Inner Bag is made of water-repellent fabric, while its silver lining is coated with a water-repellent finish.
· The Bugaboo Boxer Deluxe Inner Bag’s fabric exterior is made of a twill weave that is both dirt- and water-resistant. Its silver lining is coated with a water-repellent finish.
· The Bugaboo Laptop Bag is made of genuine leather.
The Bugaboo Boxer is designed to be used. Just as the journeys you take change you personally, they also leave their mark on the items you take with you.
After you’ve taken your Bugaboo Boxer with you on several journeys, you’ll probably notice some scratches on the chassis. This is because the chassis is exposed - unlike traditional suitcases, which integrate the wheels into the case. The same is also true of the travel and cabin cases. The Bugaboo Boxer is designed so that scratches do not affect the way the luggage system works.
The Bugaboo Boxer chassis is made in China by our dedicated, experienced workforce at the Bugaboo factory in Xiamen.
Bugaboo Boxer cases are made (assembled and partly manufactured) in the Netherlands.
Bugaboo Boxer accessories are also made in China by trusted travel goods suppliers.
Every Bugaboo Boxer product is automatically registered in your name when you buy it online. The serial number is laser etched onto the Bugaboo Boxer Chassis. Detach the Organizer and look on the inside of the left hand upright, close to the bottom.
Although our strollers and luggage share a common modular system design, they are designed for different needs. That’s why they are not compatible with each other, and contain no interchangeable parts.
The IATA® ‘Cabin OK’ guideline (21.7" x 13.8" x 7.9") is smaller than the size set by most airlines as their maximum acceptable for carry-on baggage. At its most compact, the Bugaboo Boxer Chassis with the Cabin Case attached folds down to 21.7" x 13.8" x 9.1". This meets the carry-on restrictions of about 70% of airlines worldwide. Please check your chosen airline’s regulations before you travel. Don’t forget that once you’re on the plane, you can separate the Cabin Case from the Chassis, and store the individual elements more easily in the overhead compartments.
To keep your Bugaboo Boxer chassis clean and ready for action:
1. Allow any dirt to dry fully before cleaning.
2. Brush off the dirt, taking care to brush it away from rotating or sliding parts.
3. Clean with damp cloth and mild detergent.
