Bugaboo car seat solutions

There are a variety of car seats designed for different age groups, sizes, and stages of your child's development.

If you have a newborn, you'll need an infant car seat for their first journey home. This type of car seat is installed rear-facing in the car since this is the safest position to protect their head, neck, and spine. Our infant car seat, the Bugaboo Turtle by Nuna, is the ideal early-stage solution for your child. It's ultralight yet packed with safety features, including an ultra-resilient shell and shock-absorbing Tailor tech™️ memory foam for superior side-impact protection. The Bugaboo Turtle by Nuna can also be part of a travel system, since it clicks onto your Bugaboo stroller for a seamless transition between car and pram. Separate adapters are usually needed for this set-up. This car seat supports your baby until their shoulders reach the shoulder height marker — approximately 12 months of age. At this point, you can switch to a forward-facing car seat.

The Bugaboo Turtle by Nuna comes with the Bugaboo ISOFIX base by Nuna, ensuring your car seat is always securely and properly installed. Before installing your car seat, always review the product user manual, check the vehicle fit guide, and your vehicle handbook for compatibility.

First, position the base in your car. Adjust the base so that the bubble on the balance indicator is between the black patches. Use the recline adjustment, if needed, to achieve the correct angle for installation. Recline the adjustment foot until it snaps into position. Then, you can choose to install it using the vehicle belt or the ISOFIX connectors.

To install the base using the vehicle belt, pass the vehicle belt through the openings in the base labeled "Belt path". Open the belt lock-off and place the shoulder and lap belts across it. Buckle the vehicle belt. Push the base into the vehicle seat firmly, pull the vehicle belts tight, and engage the belt lock-off.

To install the base using ISOFIX connectors, click both ISOFIX connectors into the vehicle's ISOFIX anchor bars. Push the base back until it touches the vehicle's seat. The safety indicator will show green when it's properly connected.

Once your base is anchored to the car, the click-and-go system lets you lift your car seat in and out with ease. Make sure to always use the tether strap in the vehicle for maximum security.

Finally, secure the top tether strap around the back of the seat using the blue guide. Then, attach it to the vehicle anchor point and tighten it so that there is no slack or looseness. If the seat is lifting off the vehicle seat, it is too tight.

The Bugaboo Turtle by Nuna is suitable from birth until their shoulders reach the height marker. This is usually around 12 months old, depending on their development.

The Bugaboo Turtle by Nuna features soft and washable fabrics, making it easy to clean up after any mess. Wash the seat cover using mild soap or upholstery shampoo. Do not bleach, soak, tumble dry, or dry clean. Dry flat in the shade thoroughly before reuse and avoid direct heat and sunlight.

The car seat's plastic and metal parts can be wiped clean with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. The harness buckles can be rinsed with warm water, but do not use any soaps, solvents, or lubricants. Be sure to thoroughly air dry.

Always consult the washing label for exact instructions. If you're not using the car seat for an extended period, remove and store it in a cool and dry place, away from the reach of children.
