Firstly, we recommend you remove any outer winter clothing before placing your baby in the capsule (e.g., winter jackets and coats). Not only this will allow you to fit your child in the Bugaboo Turtle more efficiently, but it also helps ensure the best performance and full safety of your child. Secondly, you can remove the cushion placed on the back of the seat inlay. If your baby still does not fit comfortably, you can remove the seat inlay altogether. As long as the baby is ‘snuggly’ placed in the capsule, the infant seat inlay can be safely removed. This will make it easier to close the harness. By ‘snuggly’ we mean that the baby is close-fitted in the capsule seat and there is not too much free space between the seat sidewalls and the baby. Another essential step for an optimal fit is to adjust the headrest to your child’s height. As you move the headrest higher, the right amount of harness will be automatically ‘released’ to better fit your child. As a rule of thumb, you should make sure the bottom part of the headrest and your baby’s shoulder line are aligned, observing a maximum one-finger distance between them.
