Important quality initiative for CARRY HANDLES Bugaboo Cameleon and Bugaboo Donkey

Important Safety Announcement

In response to customer reports, we are proactively reaching out to provide a new and improved carry handle for the Bugaboo Cameleon and Bugaboo Donkey. This Bugaboo quality initiative will ensure customers can use our products to their utmost satisfaction.

We have learned from customer reports that under certain conditions, the white button on the carry handle may pop out when the Bugaboo Cameleon or Bugaboo Donkey bassinet/pram body is resting on the ground or is placed on an unstable surface. If the white button pops out, the carry handle may detach on one side.

An external investigation of these reports confirms that the safety risk is low, and no injuries have been reported. While the Bugaboo Cameleon and the Bugaboo Donkey continue to comply with all external regulatory and safety standards, we have improved the carry handle design. We are making this improved carry handle available, along with information about assembly and use, at no cost to customers with a Bugaboo Cameleon or a Bugaboo Donkey.

The Bugaboo Cameleon carry handle is available now. We expect delivery to be 2 weeks from the moment of registration, subject to stock availability. The new carry handle for the Bugaboo Donkey will become available from the beginning of February 2013 onwards. Bugaboo will follow up with Bugaboo Donkey owners when the new handle becomes available. Until customers receive the new and improved carry handle, they should remove their current carry handle from the pushchair. Bugaboo advises our customers to use the pushchair's harness at all times when going out and about with your child and to make sure the straps are properly secured.
