Choosing the stroller that’s perfect for you
Choosing the stroller that’s perfect for you
2016-12-07 - Choosing the right stroller can be a daunting task. To help you along the way, we spoke to Bugaboo stroller owners from around the world and came up with a few things to think about when making that all-important decision.
How do you spend your days?
Think about the place you live and what you get up to in your free time. Are you a city dweller who is always on to go? If so, the Bugaboo Bee³ – designed for urban life – could be the stroller for you. There’s no need to stop visiting your favorite art gallery or café – the Bugaboo Bee³ is quick and easy to maneuver, even in small spaces.
“…our Bugaboo Bee³ glides softly in and out of the rooms and deftly maneuvers through tight spaces”
Ginette Chittick lives in Singapore and loves exploring the city’s museums and galleries with her daughter Luella. With their Bugaboo Bee³, they are free to discover every corner of the city. “Luella loves going to the museum! And our Bugaboo Bee³ glides softly in and out of the rooms and deftly maneuvers through tight spaces without knocking into any exhibits.” If you love to spend your weekends exploring the great outdoors, the Bugaboo Buffalo was built with you in mind. Whether you’re hiking through the forest or surfing on the beach, it’s ready to go on any terrain thanks to its 4 large wheels.
Enjoy the best of both worlds? The versatile Bugaboo Cameleon³ makes it easy to go everywhere you want to go. With the small swivel wheels forward your child will have a steady, stable, comfortable ride in the city. When you’re taking the road less traveled, simply reverse the handle bar to put big wheels forward.
“…we chose the Bugaboo Cameleon³ as it's so versatile”
The Bugaboo Cameleon³ was the stroller of choice for Paulina Eaborn, who lives by the coast in Brisbane, Australia. She loves to keep active with her little ones and appreciates the versatility that the stroller offers to her family. "With 3 kids an outing can be a bit of a challenge, - a stroller is the last thing I want to worry about so we chose the Bugaboo Cameleon³ as it's so versatile. I can pop a Comfort Wheeled Board on when my toddler is too tired to walk, I can turn my baby around depending which direction the strong Aussie sun is shining, I can maneuver it with one hand when I'm busy holding little hands, and the compartment under the stroller is big enough to hold all my 3 boys treasures, snacks and blankets. "Choose a stroller that matches your style
Becoming a parent doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice on style. It’s easy to create a stroller that fits with your wardrobe, whether you go classic with an all-black Bugaboo Cameleon³ or add a pop of color with a bright yellow canopy on your Bugaboo Bee³. With so many different color combinations and special editions to choose from, you’re sure to find one that fits with your personal taste.
“It also works with my choice of thread on any given day…”
Tess Guinery is a creative spirit with a love for color. The Bugaboo Bee³ was the stroller that best suited her family as they are always on the go with their spontaneous careers (Tess is designer and her husband Caleb is a stunt man). They often have to hit the road with only 24 hours’ notice and it's all systems go, so the Bugaboo Bee³ lends to the nature of their lifestyle - light, easy, and swift! Finding a stroller which matched her eclectic style was also on the agenda when making her selection. “It also works with my choice of thread on any given day, so whether I am wearing a vibrantly colored dress or a vintage floral print – the classic black canopy never clashes. As I shuffle from A to B dancing the crazy mumma-work life-juggle, I am able keep a sense of style in all facets of my life.” How much storage space do you have?
All Bugaboo Strollers can be folded with ease, but it’s worth remembering the dimensions vary depending on the model. If you plan on storing your stroller in a small space at home, or traveling with it in your car, it’s always best to double check the measurements first. It might not be the most exciting part of choosing a stroller, but it’s an important one.
Do you plan on expanding your family?
If you’re thinking on having more than one child, you might want to consider purchasing a stroller that is practical for now but can adapt when the time comes. Designed to grow with your family, the Bugaboo Donkey is available as a mono, duo or twin stroller. In mono form, the handy side luggage basket can hold up to 5kg, in addition to the 10kg that can be stored in the underseat basket – ideal for when you want to hit the shops or do groceries on foot. When child number two comes along, convert it into a duo stroller in just three simple clicks. Of course, if you’re expecting twins then the Bugaboo Donkey can accommodate two children of the same age.
“I really love having my kids right next to each other riding side by side!”
Rachel Parcell runs her own clothing brand and blog. She is a mother of two and has found the Bugaboo Donkey the perfect stroller to make the transition from one to two children. “It has quickly become one of my very favorite strollers! I used this stroller for my first baby and absolutely loved having storage space to the side as well as the basket underneath. And since having my second baby this stroller is still one of our most-used strollers because I really love having my kids right next to each other riding side by side! We take our Bugaboo Donkey traveling with us, but our favorite place to use the stroller is on walks as a family or out to the park!”
At Bugaboo we understand that every family is unique, and that’s why we have created a portfolio of strollers to suit different lifestyles. If you’re still not sure which stroller is right for you can compare our different strollers in detail here, or visit your nearest retailer to try them out for yourself.
