Bugaboo replaces carry handle for the Bugaboo Cameleon and Bugaboo Donkey

In response to customer reports, we are proactively reaching out to provide a new and improved carry handle for the Bugaboo Cameleon and Bugaboo Donkey. This Bugaboo quality initiative will ensure customers can use our products to their utmost satisfaction. We have learned from customer reports that under certain conditions, the white button on the carry handle may pop out when the Bugaboo Cameleon or Bugaboo Donkey bassinet/pram body is resting on the ground or is placed on an unstable surface. If the white button pops out, the carry handle may detach on one side.

Bugaboo replaces carry handle for the Bugaboo Cameleon 3

The Bugaboo Cameleon 3 is compliant to all international regulatory safety standards. However, a small number of customer reports and our own follow-up testing confirm that in the case of these specific Bugaboo Cameleon 3 strollers (serial numbers S/N 190101115300001 to S/N 190105124800215) their current carry handle connectors may break, presenting a falling hazard. No injuries have been reported. Carry handle connectors connect the carry handle to the bassinet or seat.

Bugaboo - car seat safety

August, 2011: Bugaboo has learned that incorrect use of a Graco Car Seat installed with adapters (models 80401GC02 & 80400GC01) on a Bugaboo Cameleon in combination with a Wheeled board model 85500WB01 (on the market since August 2009) can cause a safety risk. If the Graco Car Seat with adapters is installed on the Bugaboo Cameleon with the child facing the world, the aforementioned Wheeled Board - when not in use in either down or upright position – can potentially flip upwards and hit the release button of the Graco Car Seat. This can cause the seat to come loose and fall.
