• Specifies what NPD teams must deliver in order to comply with Engineering processes and the Quality Policy (Quality Plan).
• Checks the Program Of Requirements (POR), the Quality Framework (QF) and the Validation Test Plan (VTP) on completeness, consistency and methods used. Monitors and reports progress on all quality related activities and deliverables and provides independent quality process judgment to stakeholders like Project Managers, Quality Directors and Department managers.
• Provides guidance in creation of key NPD deliverables like the Quality Framework. Accepts the POR as complete, unambiguous and consistent and approves engineering validation methods.  
• Supports Quality activities in NPD teams by acting as consultant when necessary.
• Capture knowledge related to QE and assure re-use, especially knowledge coming from Service Data in relation to existing products in the market.
• Acts as process owner for QE related processes within NPD, monitors effectivity of QE processes and initiates improvements.
• Liaises closely with colleagues in Quality Assurance in preparation of Operational Quality documents, Component Specifications and Production Quality Plans with specific responsibility to ensure that all the Engineering knowledge and requirements are transferred to the Operational team.
• Acts as a consultant to the Service Data feedback process to provide QE knowledge as applied to Non-compliances, customer complaints and root cause analysis of critical incident products and special RMAs.

• Provides the Design department with the (minimum) quality requirements for the POR
  (area’s that must be covered, acceptable validation methods, layout template etc,)
• Provides the Engineers with the (minimum) quality requirements for the QFW
  (area’s that must be covered, acceptable validation methods, layout template etc,)
• Provides the Engineers with the (minimum) requirements for the validation test plan.
  (safety factors, sample size, rules for applying temperature conditions, statistical evaluation of results)
• Provides the Asia Quality Engineers with detailed insight on new products, the requirements defined and how this information can be built into the Quality Plan and detailed specifications.

• Audit POR, QFW and testplan and accepts these documents as complete, unambiguous, consistent and checks if the engineering requirements are validated by use of approved engineering validation methods.
• Maintains clear and visual status overview of the quality deliverables progress per NPD project

• University Degree in engineering or equivalent
• Experience as Senior Engineer or Quality Engineer in product development departments.
• Working knowledge of statistics for data analysis and design of Experiments techniques.
• Excellent English.
• Knowledge of quality systems like ISO, engineering processes, technical documentation systems,   validation and testing, both theoretical and practical.
• Good written and oral communication skills, able to support and coach engineers but decisive if necessary.
• Possesses credibility and natural supremacy in his field.
