what is (PRODUCT)RED™
(RED)'s primary objective is to raise awareness and funds for the Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa. Companies whose products take on the (PRODUCT)RED mark contribute a portion of profits to the Global Fund. Click the links below to learn more about (PRODUCT)RED and the Global Fund.
In 2009 Bugaboo joined the (RED) family because the core mission of (RED) – helping to end mother to baby transmission of HIV– perfectly mirrors what is at the heart of Bugaboo; helping families stay mobile, active and healthy and, in particular, focusing on mother and child.
Since the start of our partnership with (RED), we - with the help of our customers - have generated enough to provide more than 6.5 million days of life-saving HIV/AIDS medicine to those that need it in the six countries where (RED) money is at work in Africa.
This year, Bugaboo and (RED) have evolved their partnership with both parties looking at new ways to activate their mutual commitment to make an AIDS-Free Generation by 2015 a reality. Additional (BUGABOO)RED programs are currently being developed that give consumers the power to help continue the fight. The next program will be launching this June: an exclusive (BUGABOO)RED Cameleon3 stroller, designed by Andy Warhol, for The (FAB)RED online pop-up from June 1 – 10.
Today and every day, 900 children are born HIV positive around the world. But with access to medication a pregnant mother can prevent the transmission of HIV to her child, and that medicine costs as little as 40 cents a day in sub-Saharan Africa. Supporting the fight against AIDS is something Bugaboo is incredibly proud of and we look forward to working with (RED) and the Global Fund to help make an AIDS-Free Generation a reality.
